Spring
As Easter approaches, the countryside is vibrant with bright wild flowers and new green leaves and the scent of fresh pretty window boxes decorate the houses and wisteria and Iris bloom.Generally warm with plenty of hours of sunshine but can be wet.
Summer
From June to September the festive season begins and the country side fills with field full of bright sunflowers. Very hot and little rain although sometimes there are some spectacular summer storms.
Autumn
Still warm with long days. Tends to rain a lot. The season of the grape harvest and the woodlands turn beautiful shades of red and gold.
Winter
Can be very cold but is the best time to enjoy the cities without overcrowding. The skies are often blue and the golden sunlight make this season the favourite of photographers. The smell of roasting chestnuts fills every town square. Time for the olive harvest.
