One of the great farms in the hills of Lucca with origins dating back to the start of the 16th century, when rich silk merchants invested their money in large estates.
Amongst these, the Bernardini's bought a cluster of land located in Segromigno in Monte, to the north of Lucca, in a hilly area that was particularly suitable for cultivating olives and grapes.
Important enlargement plans were done and wooded areas were cleared for the new vines and olive groves.
From then on, the estate played a central part in the family’s wealth, and in the 19th Century Count Federico Bernardini purchased the nearby Buonvisi estate.
The agricultural side of the holiday estate has concentrated on the production of extra virgin olive oil with 2500 young olive trees planted in the last 20 years, bringing the total to 5000.
Today, the farm has five holiday houses, each with its own swimming pool, and a high quality bed and breakfast service.
The farm can accommodate up to 80 guests distributed in the five houses.
The ancient greenhouse has today been completely restored, to accommodate hospitality for up to 80 people for meals and receptions with a modern heating and air-condition system.
Everything is organised by the farm itself, which takes care of cooking and service with great love, and the highest professional standards.
The special context of this site gives an idyllic atmosphere, offering the benefits of an indoor space while maintaining the illusion of being outside.
